These Terms of Service explain the rules for using this website and SCPress community services, including accounts, community features, and the Vault. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

1. About SCPress and these terms
SCPress is a modern publishing platform shared with the community. The SCPress software is free to use. These terms govern this website and community services operated under the SCPress name; they do not automatically govern independently operated websites built with SCPress. Site owners are responsible for the terms and practices of their own sites.
2. Who may use the services
You may use the services only if you can form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you create an account for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to act for it. Do not create an account using false identity or contact details, or use another person’s account without permission.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for activity carried out through your account. Keep your account information accurate, protect your password, and tell us promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably needed to protect users, the platform, or the community.
4. Acceptable use
Use the services lawfully and respectfully. You must not use them to distribute malware, spam, threats, deceptive or fraudulent material, unauthorized personal information, or content that infringes another person’s rights. Do not probe, disrupt, overload, bypass access controls, or attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
5. Your content and submissions
You keep ownership of content, plugins, themes, reviews, and other material you create and submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit it and that it follows applicable law and any published submission guidelines.
When you submit material, you give SCPress the limited, non-exclusive permission needed to receive, store, review, display, distribute, and provide that material through the service for the purpose you submitted it for. For Vault submissions, this includes evaluating the package and making an approved listing and download available. This permission ends when the material is removed from the service, except for copies reasonably needed for backups, security, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.
6. Reviews, community posts, and moderation
Reviews and community contributions should be honest, relevant, and based on your genuine experience or clearly described opinion. Do not impersonate another person, manipulate ratings, post confidential information, or use reviews to harass or threaten. We may hide, remove, or decline content that violates these terms or creates a safety, security, or legal concern. A listing or review does not mean SCPress guarantees or endorses a third-party product.
7. Plugins, themes, and third-party services
Plugins, themes, integrations, and links may be created or operated by independent developers. Their code, features, support, privacy practices, and availability are the responsibility of their respective providers. Review a package and its permissions before installing it, and keep backups of your site. SCPress may review or remove a Vault listing, but review does not guarantee that a package is secure, compatible, or suitable for your site.
SCPress itself is provided free to use. Hosting, domain names, payment processors, third-party APIs, optional services, or independently offered products may have their own fees and terms. Any such charges should be disclosed by the provider before you agree to them.
8. Ownership of SCPress
SCPress names, branding, website design, and platform materials are owned by their respective rights holders or used with permission. The SCPress software is made available under the license included with its distribution. That software license governs copying, modification, and redistribution of the software; these website terms do not replace or narrow it.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how this website handles personal information and related data. By using the services, you acknowledge that information may be handled as described there.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep the services useful and available, but features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued. We may update these terms when the services or applicable requirements change. The updated version will appear on this page with a revised date. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
11. Disclaimers
To the extent allowed by applicable law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that every third-party package, feature, or integration will meet your needs. Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right or protection that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limits on responsibility
To the extent allowed by applicable law, SCPress and the people who maintain it are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the services, third-party products, or unavailable content. These terms do not exclude responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including liability for intentional wrongdoing where exclusion is prohibited.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or end access when you materially violate these terms, create a security or legal risk, or when a service is discontinued. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Sections that by their nature should continue—such as ownership, content permissions already needed for lawful records, disclaimers, and dispute provisions—remain effective as applicable.
14. Governing rules and contact
These terms are subject to the laws that apply to the operator and the user, without removing any mandatory protections available to consumers in their place of residence. If you have a question about these terms or need to report a concern, use the contact options provided on this website.
